Meet The Team

Pieter van Jaarsveld
CEO/Hunting Guide
Pieter brings more than 15 years of international guiding experience and a lifelong passion for ethical hunting and wildlife stewardship. Since joining the ranch in August 2024, Pieter has played a key role in shaping the daily operations and long-term vision of 777 Ranch, overseeing wildlife management, and the care and development of the ranch’s exotic breeding programs, among many other things.
Raised in South Africa’s Northern Cape Province, Pieter’s connection to the outdoors began early. His first hunt with his father—where he harvested two impalas—sparked a passion that would define his career. After years spent exploring the bush in West Africa, Pieter completed his professional training at Sutherland Hunting Academy in 2009 and apprenticed with Gotsoma Safaris. He went on to guide for over a decade across Limpopo and the Northern Cape, developing a reputation for disciplined, fair-chase hunting and exceptional client experiences.
In 2017, Pieter relocated to the U.S., bringing with him a global perspective on conservation-driven hunting. At 777 Ranch, his leadership emphasizes sustainable herd management, respect for the animals, and maintaining the high standards that define a world-class hunting destination. His favorite species to guide/walk-and-stalk is Axis, admired for its intelligence, resilience, and the strategic challenge it presents.
Pieter is committed to building the future of 777 Ranch alongside owner Jeff Rann—preserving the ranch’s legacy while continuing to elevate the experience for every client who steps into the field. He married his wife, Kendra, in June 2024 and remains deeply grateful for the life and community they are building at the ranch.

Hunter Kidder
Hunting Guide/Ranch Hand
Hunter is a dedicated hunting guide with five years of experience, having joined 777 Ranch in November 2020. His favorite aspect of guiding is helping clients achieve their dream trophies, and he values the diverse wildlife present at the ranch. In addition to guiding, Hunter undertakes various responsibilities, including maintenance of the ranch's roads and pastures, and distributing hay throughout the hunting areas.
Originally from San Antonio, Hunter was introduced to hunting at the age of eight when his father took him on his first Whitetail hunt. By the age of fourteen, he had discovered a passion for bow hunting.
Hunter treasures the time spent outdoors with his wife, Debra, and their daughter, eagerly awaiting the day he can take her on her first hunt.

Kendra van Jaarsveld
Controller/Office Manager
Kendra grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, where she learned the value of hard work and a close-knit community. She went on to study accounting and finance in college and spent 6½ years working in an accounting office in Tulsa, building a strong foundation in financial management and business operations.

Kendra’s journey to 777 Ranch began in an unexpected way. Her sister and brother-in-law hunted in South Africa in 2016, where they met Pieter, their professional hunter. Years later, in 2023, Kendra met Pieter for the first time at her niece’s softball game while he was visiting Oklahoma for the weekend. The connection was instant, and their story quickly unfolded from there.

The couple married in June 2024 and spent seven weeks honeymooning in South Africa — Kendra’s first visit to the country. During that time, she fell in love with the land, the wildlife, and the lifestyle. Just one week after returning home, Kendra and Pieter packed up their house and moved to 777 Ranch to begin the next chapter of their lives together.

Since September 2024, Kendra has played a key role in the ranch’s daily operations, overseeing all in-house accounting, managing client bookings, and maintaining the ranch's social media and website, while also assisting with day-to-day management alongside Pieter and owner, Jeff Rann. Her background in accounting, paired with her passion for the hunting industry, allows her to support both the business side and the overall guest experience. When you call the 777 Ranch office, Kendra is often the first voice you’ll hear — ready to answer questions, walk you through your options, and help get your hunt booked.
Today, Kendra embraces ranch life and takes pride in being surrounded by exotic species, welcoming clients from around the world, and helping make a lasting impact at 777 Ranch — a place she is proud to call home.

Tyler Rodriguez
Hunting Guide/Rand Hand
Known to many as T-Rod, Tyler has been guiding hunters for the past five years and joined the 777 Ranch team in March of 2025. Tyler is not only a dedicated guide but also a husband and father who lives and breathes the hunting lifestyle. From the age of six, his world revolved around arrows, bullets, and the thrill of the hunt—whether it was watching the sunrise over a frozen duck hole or enjoying a meal made entirely from game he harvested himself.
For Tyler, the greatest joy of guiding comes from helping families create lifelong memories together. He thrives on the challenge of understanding each client’s unique needs—from youth hunters to the most experienced—crafting unforgettable hunting experiences across diverse species.
His favorite animal to guide is the Aoudad, known for its difficulty and thrill, and one of the first exotic animals he harvested early in his guiding career—a memorable 42-yard bow hunt into a herd of 50+ rams and ewes.
Beyond guiding, Tyler ensures all exotic breeding facilities at 777 Ranch function at peak quality, from water troughs and hay management to relocating animals to maintain the best possible herds.
Hunting with Tyler is never dull—whether it’s storytelling, lighthearted laughter, or the focused pursuit of a trophy of a lifetime, he balances fun with a deep respect for wildlife, gun safety, and ethical hunting practices. A bonus for clients: you might even get a cameo on his YouTube channel, T-Rod’s Outdoors, if your shooting skills are up to par!
